Confirmed from McCann Park and Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“It has defenitly great views and you can go off the trail and find beautiful shaded spots.”

It's a beautiful short trail! It has defenitly great views and you can go off the trail and find beautiful shaded spots. Quiet, nice place to go for a walk with your dog. There is small dog park in the middle of the trail which is nice if your dog enjoys that.

★★★★★ — Nancy , Apr 2021

Kept clean, shaded, definitely recommend. Not very lengthy but a good short hike with the dogs, water access and dog park right off the trail too.

★★★★★ — Jacklyn , Aug 2019

I love going to the park and trails. The trails has a creek I like to go sit by to clear my mind. It's beautiful.

★★★★★ — Anthony , Mar 2019

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
