Confirmed from McClellan Multi-Use Trails' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Family-friendly hiking area with many kid-friendly trails, and some routes for biking.
What runners say about McClellan Multi-Use Trails
“Neat trails that are very well-maintained and offer a few challenges, but nothing a beginner can't do.”
“Clearly marked and very nice this bike picture is clearly art.”
“They have two awesome downhill trails that are extremely beginner friendly and overall this is a fantastic cross country mountain biking trail system.”
Came to ride the McClellan Mountain Bike Trails today. It was the first time,so I decided to take the harder path instead of the easy path. Well... Let me tell ya. It is not called "Reveille" for nothing. Those first set of Switchbacks will wake you in in the morning, I promise you that.
Love McClellan! Bike trails galore and take you in bush to Yahou lake! Beautiful?
Well maintained trails with lots of variety. Trails are clearly marked.
Easy beginner cross country green trails for all ages. There is newly added intermediate trails and beginner downhill trails as well. Hikers are also welcome.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
