Confirmed from McCormick Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Popular trout-stocked park offering picnic tables and beautiful views of the creek.
What runners say about McCormick Park
“McCormick Park provides the most beautiful creek view on a tree lined back road.”
“It’s still a wonderful place to go but sometimes it’s not as peaceful or zen like as it could be.”
A bit crowded in the afternoon on a hot July Saturday, but this is a great spot for creeking. Bring tubes and put in at the top and enjoy a nice float even just to the end of the park, then walk back. Repeat until you tire of luxurious free floating then pack it up and leave.
This park is essentially a small strip of grass between a lightly traveled road and the yellow breeches. There's a singular park bench and a small gravel area for parking, yet due to its easy access to the creek, this spot is a local favorite for swimming, tubing, and creek fun.
McCormick Park provides the most beautiful creek view on a tree lined back road. In the summer we love spending time looking for creatures and little shells & in fall the leaves are breathtaking. Beautiful private road for walking your dog. Benches and picnic tables also available.
This was a nearby spot that we recently discovered! A very peaceful paved walk along a creek behind a neighborhood. Parking options were limited to along the path, there were a few benches and picnic tables. It was really beautiful and peaceful for a short walk with my dog.
