Confirmed from McGill Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park, featuring picnic spots, playgrounds and nature trails for soccer fields and pickleball.
What runners say about McGill Park
“Took my grandson here for the first time Loved the playground It offers so much and more If you want to wear a child out I recommend this park So clean too”
“Love this park beautiful paved trails for my dogs!”
This is a very spacious park already and this is just phase 1 of 3 phases. The couple of months old park already has a shelter house, paved walking trails, playground equipment, an old farmhouse that I read is going to be kept, and plenty of parking.
This park is awesome, has walking trails, large playground, soccer fields. A few picnic tables. We took our grandsons here they lovers it. I’m sure there is much more to do. Our schedule didn’t allow for more discovery. This is a newer park so all the ammonites are very nice.
Park has a literal zip line for kids free of charge an incredibly clean shelter house. A climbing wall slides, shaded seating areas, soccer fields, and even pickleball courts. Arguably one of the nicest Parks I've ever seen incredibly well kept hiking trails included and all around fun for the whole family experience.
Wonderful experience! Well groomed condition for walking, running and an educational experience for kids with a simple/workable area for kids. If the park could add a fenced in area for dogs, would be even greater!

“Great new set of dedicated pickleball courts with lights for the southeast side of the Columbus metro area!”

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
