Confirmed from Walnut Creek Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Walnut Creek Park
“Clean dog park with swimming hole that is fenced off separately from the main run in case you want to keep your dog dry.”
A very nice park , and very quiet when soccer is not in season. Trails are not well mapped. Be warned, most reviews listed for this site are tagged to the wrong park. This park has two soccer fields and trails. It is located behind Canal Winchester Middle School.
This is a large park. There are trails along Walnut Creek and the woods next to Walnut Creek. Also there is a large area of farmland and quite a few soccer fields. The parking area is big and there is a portable restroom.
Best dog park in the area for my 45 lb Blue Heeler. A few acres of fenced in land. There is a separate park for larger dogs and smaller dogs. Owners and dogs are behaved well for the most part, but still good to keep an eye on your pup. If you want to run, walk or bike, this park has great paved trails.
Clean dog park with swimming hole that is fenced off separately from the main run in case you want to keep your dog dry. Also has an agility area and plenty open space. No running water fountains in the park so bring your dog some water with you.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
