Confirmed from McMillin Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

This was such a beautiful walk today. The historic McMillin Bridge next to the current bridge was very cool. The view from the bridge is gorgeous and calming. Such a picturesque part of the Foothills Trail.

A great place to go for a walk or starting point for the foothills trail into South Prairie. The restrooms are fairly clean and there’s plenty of parking. Take a walk along the old railroad bridge or slip down to the river to explore.

Wonderful time we had a couple hours of beautiful sites while riding bikes from this section of Foothills National Recreation Trail. No steepness up or down this asphalt paved trail, going through towns got us real familiar in a closeup, friendly way around people and shops, wasn't crowded, even with some kind of…

This area has good parking but if you go during traffic time, do not miss the turn because it is a pain to have to turn around. We were in the area taking senior photos, and the bridge is just beautiful for that!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

“We hiked to the golf course and back to the trailhead then used the bathrooms which had no garbage can and there were none outside either.”
