Confirmed from McPherson Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about McPherson Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (212 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 12 mentions

“Very clean very nice park, but I really wanted to take my kids to a splash park and it was made for toddlers at best and there were only 2 tables to sit at that were already full.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“They have plenty of bathrooms, shaded areas, and a beautiful landscape!”

Very clean very nice park, but I really wanted to take my kids to a splash park and it was made for toddlers at best and there were only 2 tables to sit at that were already full. They need some benches or somewhere else for people to sit around the splash pad.

★★★★☆ — Lovie , Jun 2019

Lovely park for walking, picnicking or play! There's a dairy exhibit, tree farm, log barn, wildflower area, lots of sidewalk paths for walking, splash pad, playground, picnic tables, indoor restrooms, educational areas, beautiful landscaping, fountain, statues, basketball court, soccer fields, sand volleyball, and…

★★★★★ — Jennifer , Sep 2016

The park is always kept clean with lawns well manicured and maintained. Water fountains and bathrooms are functional. There are several pavillions with metal tables for plenty of sitting space. The basketball court has ample paint lining and the walking area is quite nice.

★★★★★ — Marvin , May 2022

Great walking trails, pavilions, sand volleyball, kiddie splash pad, and basketball courts and access to the preserved dairy that once made its home on the land. Plenty of open spaces for soccer or playing with the dog. Ample parking and clean restrooms.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 10 mentions

“Nice Park Very clean Got the space 🚻 Restrooms are nicely close if you hosting a event under the Pavilion we flew kites in open field and had a great time.”
