Walking the paths at Elk Creek is like stepping onto the pages of a watercolor. Fields of goldenrod and amber wheat taller than your head, butterflies and bees flitting around, a rustic barn, and several idyllic little ponds.
My family enjoyed a long walk through Elk Creek MetroPark. Plenty of flowers and tree varieties to see. Red-winged blackbirds, Towhees, and other bird varieties, as well. The path is fairly smooth and the walk features minor hills. The depths of the park is so peaceful.
Absolutely wonderful place to go to walk, fish, jog, picnic, or whatever else you outdoor heart desires.
Great park to ride bikes, walk and just enjoy some peace and serenity. This is an old gold course so you have mostly paved paths with occasional gravel. There are some ups and downs and it is pretty windy so not a place to go for performance biking just leisurely stroll.
