Confirmed from Meadowlark Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Meadowlark Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (179 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“Now if they could only clean up the messy confusing system at Overton which is a close second to Meadowlark in fun terrain.”

Make no mistake, this is not a trail for beginners. This is a super technical trail that will break you and your bike if you mess up. It's an absolute blast though, very well maintained as well.

★★★★★ — Ryan , Sep 2017

A lot of trails for both hikers and bikers. Adjoins Veterans Park to make a very large (by Western Suffolk County standards) wooded preserve. I enter at the trailhead at the back of Vets Park, but I believe that there are also entry points on Middleville Rd and elsewhere. Enjoy!

★★★★★ — John , May 2019

Amazing mountain bike trail, very technical, narrow trail. Never get bored of riding here. Maybe not the best for beginners but doesn't take long to feel comfortable riding here.

★★★★★ — Daniel , Jun 2016

Great trail loop which take ~45minutes - 1hr for beginners to complete and is moderately difficult at points. Would recommend Stillwell first if you have never biked before.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🌲 Natural surface / singletrack 7 mentions

“Terrain is basic but there are enough bermed corners, “sprocket grabbing” log jumps, and technical add-ons to keep experienced riders engaged.”
