For our girls trip, we found this park to tent camp while visiting the Mushroom Festival in Fairhope. We stayed at campsite 33, which is just steps from the water and has a little bench under a tree to sit on to enjoy the view of the Bay. There are water and electric at each site.
A small but very beautiful park. The facilities (restrooms, showers, laundry) are well kept, the bathrooms being especially clean. They are currently adding new buildings and upgrading the park quite a bit.
Meaher State Park is a small but lovely park—perfect if you’re looking for a quiet spot to slow down. The boardwalk is a highlight, especially for spotting wildlife and enjoying beautiful sunset views over the water. It’s peaceful, uncrowded, and a great place for a short walk or a moment of calm.
We spent 5 nights here in our RV. One of the best state parks we’ve been to. Large, level concrete pads with full hookups. Beautiful nature trails with a boardwalk and a fishing pier. Would highly recommend staying here.
