Confirmed from Memorial Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with a basketball court, playground, soccer fields, walking/jogging trail & skate park.
What runners say about Memorial Park
“Huge park Many things to do Great for a walk or jog I visit here for pokemon hunting”
“The space had a calm, organized feel, and everyone we spoke with seemed used to answering practical homeowner questions.”
Beautiful and peaceful park even on the weekends. I haven’t been after working hours during the week. The track is about 500 steps walking going at a decent pace (not slow but not speed walking) 1 time around. This is a great place to bring the family or go alone to find some peace in this hectic city.
I went with my wife to look at replacement window options for our older house. The showroom was clean and easy to walk through, with sample windows set up so we could try the locks, screens, and sliding mechanisms ourselves.
Nice cozy park to come and visit. It has a short trail that has literal ups and downs. I used to come and walk here at night, especially around the field. The downside to doing that was that it was rarely lit, so I wouldn't always feel safe waking here on my own.
Memorial Park is a solid spot for families. It’s got basketball courts, a cool skate park, and plenty of space for a picnic. The bayou trail is nice, but there are alligator warnings, so stay alert. Lots of beaver activity too, which is pretty neat to see. Only downside is it closes at dusk.
Trail conditions & character
“Parking can be hard dependent on the time and day.”
