Confirmed from Memorial Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Tranquil park offering grassy areas, foot paths, a pond with a fountain & U.S. war memorials.
What runners say about Memorial Park
“This is a very beautiful recreational park.”
“A lovely, peaceful park with an amazing amount of wildlife.”
Beautifully landscaped pocket park with a pond, ducks and herons. Covered picnic benches, short walking trails And a bath room with unique art work. A few steps away a snowman in January.
Beautiful park with paved walking paths. This little park is right downtown and has a pond, lots of shade, benches, bathrooms and some picnic tables. Highly recommend. Dog friendly. Kid friendly.
A good place for relaxation and walking when you want peace, it has benches and green areas. It is an open space for all people.
I attended a memorial day service here. It is a lovely little park. It was the perfect location to honor our fallen veterans. There is a feeling of small town unity in a lovely green relaxing space. TBH I didn’t walk around the park very much, but it will always hold a tender placefor the memories created.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
