Confirmed from Mill Pond Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Urban park with picnic areas, tennis courts & a jogging path along the Harlem River waterfront.
What runners say about Mill Pond Park
“Clean, spacious, great for kids of all ages.”
“It's a beautiful, but the young teens tend to go there in big crowds and attract a lot of police that some times shut down parts of the park”
Nice park located directly across from Bronx Terminal Market. There is a small walking path, a grilling area, tables and chairs, beautiful scenery. You can also overlook the river while you walk or if you decide to sit. There is not restroom located at this park.

If there is a holiday and great weather you need to arrive at sunrise when the gates open for a table/grill. The grill area is gravel covered. The park closes at 9pm. There isn't a restroom at the park so you'll need to use the Hip Hop Museum or go across the street and into Applebee's or Mariscos.
There are some Bronx Gems and this park is one of them. Nice walking paths, quiet, grills, tables. There were other families here also and everyone was respectful. Will be grilling there again.
