Confirmed from Harlem River Drive Greenway's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Harlem River Drive Greenway

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (20 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

This is a very lovely park that’s right along the Harlem River. While it’s not very wide and it’s flanked by a parkway there is never very much traffic so it’s a pretty quiet spot. The whole park is filled with Cherry Blossoms 🌸 so it’s spectacular in the spring.

Nice spot to bike or walk around with the view of the High Bridge. Loud vehicle traffic nearby however and almost no shade and relatively little greenery.

I didn't get to enjoy this Greenway but I did experience it the hard way. The skies opened up and dumped sheets of rain onto the city. This caused the entire Harlem River to close down making us park and become spectators to the lucky ones that decided to ride their bikes and electric mopeds on this Greenway.

★★★★★ — Joe , Jul 2022

I'm very thankful for this Greenway that coasts down the island of Manhattan along the Harlem River! It even has a special lane designated for micromobility devices and such. There are a couple of pot holes, but nothing you can't manage if you keep your eyes ahead of you and stay attentive.
