Confirmed from Milton Reimers Ranch Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Canyon & forest preserve along the Pedernales River, frequented by rock climbers & mountain bikers.
What runners say about Milton Reimers Ranch Park
“Milton Reimers Ranch Park is a really nice park with beautiful Hill Country views, clean trails, and plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors.”
“First of all, it’s not a state park, so it wasn’t swarming with people and we didn’t need a reservation in order to get in on a beautiful weekend day like today.”
“The Blue Route is a gentler option, perfect for leisurely walks, though it lacks shade.”
“If you like quiet hikes, this is your spot.”
We loved this park! First of all, it’s not a state park, so it wasn’t swarming with people and we didn’t need a reservation in order to get in on a beautiful weekend day like today. The beach area is absolutely stunning. It’s a short (steep) walk from the parking lot and we could have spent all day there.
Milton Reimers Ranch Park offers a variety of experience. The park’s cool cave is definitely a highlight. The Green Route is challenging with its rocky terrain, but rewards hikers with stunning close-up river views. It’s a popular spot for experienced climbers.
Good spot for hiking. Friendly staff. Primitive trail starts out a little challenging but ends up in a cool cave. Great river views on Upper River Trail. Take the backdoor exit for some rock scrambling and uphill challenge!
Great place to see nature. Note that they only accept cash. We went there primarily for climbing, but the hiking we did was pleasant and the scenery was nice. A lot of people were there for climbing as well, and the routes were fun and doable.
