Confirmed from Mingo Creek Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Mingo Creek Park
This small little park was just an empty field for a long time. After going to city hall, we now have a small playground and new basketball courts. There is also a police K-9 obstacle course that is rarely used, but the city has told me they are removing that and the Greenway will be extended from the park to…
The park is under construction, we started at Knightdale location, there are houses on the side, not the kind of trail I was looking for, but still a decent one. There's a very small play ground and no bathroom.
Lovely park to take walk my dogs to and do a little workout on a Sunday 😁
Trail conditions & character
“It's a little park, 2 basketball courts, a covered play area, and couple of fenced in areas, for dog's.”
Plan your run at Mingo Creek Park
The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
