Confirmed from Anderson Point Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Anderson Point Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (1,067 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 11 mentions

“It is beautiful, expansive, and easy access to the Neuse River Trail, and I love the bench swings.”

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“I ride past this place, and it's nice to have restrooms and a shaded picnic area on the trail.”

Came here for a graduation cookout and I was truly surprised. It an absolutely huge space to host an outdoor event with family and friends. It’s off by itself but not to far that if you need assistance that it would take to long so I loved that.

I've been wanting to visit this park for ages and I'm so happy I did. It is beautiful, expansive, and easy access to the Neuse River Trail, and I love the bench swings. I didn't rate it 5 stars because, unfortunately, it is right by the freeway, and the car noise is quite loud.

★★★★☆ — Nancy , May 2024

Beautiful place. Bike trail, places to sit, cabins for free and for rent special occasion, parking lot, birds observation, kids play, huge land space. play ground

★★★★★ — Luis , Feb 2023

Beautiful park with lots of walking trails that connect to the greenway. The playground is decent, with a massive sandpit. There's also a nice shaded area with porch swings by the playground. Saw lots of wildlife as well (including three black snakes).

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
