Confirmed from Mingo Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Sprawling park with a skate park and river access, plus play areas and courts.

What runners say about Mingo Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (617 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 7 mentions

“The path to walk on is maintained, the park is clean, there's parking, and I feel safe when coming here.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“A beautiful park, with various sport fields, outdoor pool, indoor basketball, walking paths, playgrounds and scenic river views.”

One of our favorite parks! Tons of play area skate park paved, trails, pool, indoor area with party place, coved pavilion with water/fireplace and bathrooms roght around the corner. Water fountains do not work. We are so happy that they finally built a new playground since the other one was falling apart!

★★★★★ — Cindy , Apr 2021

Although the actual rec center is still in 1965 the rest of the park is really nice. Lots of soccer fields, baseball fields, walking track with workout stations, amazing skate park that has some really nice older guys that make the younger kids feel like stars and lit tennis courts along with a play area for the kids.

★★★★☆ — Josué , May 2023

An amazing park with tons of activities for kids of all ages. Public pool open every afternoon in the summer. Gigantic playground with multiple areas for children to spread out and have fun. Also features a large walking trail, sports areas and ample parking.

★★★★★ — Dylan , Aug 2019

Nice park. 1 mile paved loop for walking or biking. Very well kept and pretty. Loud from the traffic and not as buggy as other parks I have visited. Plenty of parking. Pool, ball field, facilities.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
