Confirmed from MKT Trail - Scott Boulevard Access' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about MKT Trail - Scott Boulevard Access

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (138 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Despite the beautiful natural scenery, it is also a great place just to clear your mind while exploring.”

The MKT Trail is an incredible thing --- it goes all the way downtown, or to Rocheport in the other direction. Generally pretty flat (since it was made from a railroad), it's very spacious for biking, and very pretty in the spring and summer (if not particularly shaded in parts).

Beautiful morning for a ride! We started at Jay Dix today and rode to McBaine. There were several areas of the trail that were damaged from flooding. A crew was working hard to repair those areas. We had our grandkids with us. They also enjoyed the ride and seeing Perche Creek so full. We'll definitely go back.

★★★★★ — Nina , Jun 2026

We three family members went for cycle ride. Really awesome. Trail is neat and clean. Safe, lot of other people are there for running, walking and cycling. There are rest rooms, drinking water facilities, benches for taking rest. Clean and fresh air. Awesome feeling.

Equally, as blisteringly energetic, a place as described earlier on the associated parks. Smooth, wide paths provide a stable traverse for even the simplest ambulatory conveyances.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🅿️ Trailhead parking 4 mentions

“Soccer fields, basketball court and playground make for a great trailhead.”
