Confirmed from Katy Trail - McBaine Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Laid-back trail and bike path for outdoor recreation, featuring water fountains and river views.
What runners say about Katy Trail - McBaine Trailhead
“I have to say from the McBaine trailhead to Rocheport trailhead is absolutely gorgeous, probably one of the best areas of the Katy trail.”
Biked from McBaine to Easely - nice bluffs along the trail, then the Missouri River. This section runs through conservation areas, plus there's a hike to an overlook (Eagle Bluff?) right off the trail.
Trail is well taken care of, plenty flat and an easy ride. It goes by the river and through the woods making a very nice ride in both summer and winter.
Excellent bike/running trail with beautiful scenery to the east or west. Cool destinations 6-10 miles in either direction... and views on the Missouri River along the way.
Great cold water at this trailhead. Around the corner Mr. Marivn Sapp 92 years old was gracious enough to let me camp on his property for the night. We talked for hours , from his service in the war to caring for his loving wife Kathleen , he is a retired mail carrier and a true gem.
