Confirmed from Montalvo Hill Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park offering facilities for basketball, soccer, picnicking, and kids' play.
What runners say about Montalvo Hill Park
“We got together to play couple games of basketball, BB court was nice and clean and in good condition as the park was as well.”
Great except for the punk who smokes pot there then drives away under the influence daily, the 2 drunk girls who roam and scream at night and the people who let dogs off leash to run up and freak yours out every day. If the police would patrol more often due to the ghetto down the street it would be perfect.
I like this park to run my dog with a Chuck-it. There's lots of room...grass is somewhat worn in places, but safe for paws. Nice little play area for children, but no shaded areas.
I love this park it's small but really convenient for me and my family .We take our dogs here to run around and play at least once a week.
Great to bring kids and dogs. You can take a walk too its a really nice park

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
