This is a really nice park, lots of places to walk, camp, there are a few cabins you can rent. The walk around the lake is great - wear good shoes, there's a little bit of terrain to hike. Great spot for camping for the family. Staff was really nice, and they have one of the better deals on firewood compared to other state sites. I spent 8 days here, and half of the time my loop was sparsely populated.
One thing that the government of NY does well is provide and maintain their state parks! Moreau State Park is no exception.. Located in the foothills of the Adirondack mountains it boasts beautiful scenery with abundant facilities. You can camp, hike, picnic or simply just enjoy a day swimming with a beach.
This is one of my family's favorite spots for swimming in the lake and grilling. We have hosted many barbecue gatherings here! Recently we rented on of the party pavillions for a birthday which came with extra picnic tables and a larger sized grill. We had a great time!
