We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Moses Woodman Preserve yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Moses Woodman Preserve

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (12 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Which is unfortunate because its a beautiful hike in the fall.”

🪧 well-marked 4 mentions

“Pink tape and yellow marks on the path make it easy to follow the trail which goes up to and on a power line.”

This is a great place to take your dogs and have a nice walk/hike. Parking is limited and I suggest avoiding the area during hunting season. A lot of hunter traffic and someone left their deer guts on the side of the trail. Which is unfortunate because its a beautiful hike in the fall.

★★★★★ — Maineiac , Apr 2021

Quiet park with pretty vegetation. Perhaps due to difficult parking and being on a smaller road, this park is not as busy as its neighbouring parks on the 112. Pink tape and yellow marks on the path make it easy to follow the trail which goes up to and on a power line.

★★★★☆ — Évelyne , Sep 2022

This trail is about 1.5 miles, out and back, and includes a poster describing the Saco River watershed at the riverbank. There are gentle hills with some narrow, seasonally wet, eroded sections. Unique tree species including shagback hickory, basswood, and hophornbeam exist along the trail side.

Great place for a fall walk with the dog. Safe place to let them off leash

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
