Confirmed from Pleasant Point Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Public park featuring a playground, picnic areas, and scenic hiking trails along a river.
What runners say about Pleasant Point Park
“The trails are clean and well marked, the view of the lake is beautiful, and the walking paths are easy enough that most people can enjoy them.”
This is a beautiful walk. It can be a little tricky as it is very much a nature trail with wet spots, stumps, roots, and mud. Also on the river trail side there are some steep hills. The river trail is a mile out and back. You'll find some great overlooks (see pics) and looks like some rope swings where kids swim.
Very nice spot if you go to the entrance with stone pillars there is a private beach. If your lucky enough to get there first. On the parking lot side you have trails to cliffs, rope swings and private wooded swimming holes.
This is a great spot to spend some time by the water in peace. There's several walking paths and a road that goes down to the water, while I opted for the road option I saw several people head down the trails as well.
Hidden gem swimming hole! Highly recommend! Awesome place to jump in with your tubes and float down the river! Walk the trail up to the bridge (about 25/30min hike along the water) and float down a little past the elbow there will be a trail to walk back up to the parking lot (about 15min hike) Depending on the flow…

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
