Confirmed from Mount Loretto Unique Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring beaches and trails for walking , biking and birdwatching.
What runners say about Mount Loretto Unique Area
“A beautiful, well kept respite from the noise and hustle of Hylan Blvd.”
“Beautiful hike with variety of landscapes packed into relatively modest acreage (ponds, meadow and wetlands trails, beach walk).”
“Calm and quiet place very good for morning evening walks as well as for picnics.”
They've improved the walking paths by alot, it used to be muddy but now I can walk with a stroller on the trails, thank you for making it so much prettier, I hope this park keeps improving
One of the best parks on the island. Great for waking, running, biking, bird watching and even a picnic. There are even decent hiking trails that are short but pleasent. The views are great and it's very very well maintained. The only issue is that the parking lot is small and it gets busy on nice days.
My first time there and I can't imagine why I waited so long to go! A beautiful, well kept respite from the noise and hustle of Hylan Blvd. As you get deeper in, you can immerse yourself in nature and just enjoy some downtime. There is coastal area, woodlands, wetlands, a beautiful lake, and paved paths throughout.
Lovely area with plenty of trails to explore, birdwatch or enjoy with your dog! There are accessible paved trails, but also non-paced ones that are harder to manage. One trail leads to the Princess Bay Lighthouse. Lots of birds, groundhogs and turtles. May have spotted an eagle! No swimming at the beach.

“If you start from parking lot and go up hill near lighthouse then back down hill towards other walkway and down hylan back to lot, all together it's about a 1.”
“Perfect for a nature stroll, it has paved paths and also woody trails I love walking and biking here all the way to the hill.”
“If you start from parking lot and go up hill near lighthouse then back down hill towards other walkway and down hylan back to lot, all together it's about a 1.”
“The only thing I found to be an issue, is that if you do walk the entire path in a loop, the only way back to the parking lot is unpaved.”
“Plenty of parking, but did not see any bathroom area/s.”
“There are accessible paved trails, but also non-paced ones that are harder to manage.”
