Confirmed from Mount Rubidoux Trail Head's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Popular 3.2-mi. hiking trail with views of the Inland Empire, also used for running, biking, and dog walking.

I live in orange County, and this place is 1 hr away. Yet, I found it to be fun, challenging, and soothing. It's fun because the place has many trails that are difficult to novice. It's challenging because the trails are steep slippery and continuously rocky with gravel, always giving way.
First Mount Rubidoux trail is a 3 miles hike . It’s an easy hike with only 393 feet of elevation gain. Parking available at Ryan bonaminio park and is open daily until 5pm. Most of the trail will be out in the open with little to no shade. There a few rest stop for stretching or resting.
Great hiking with trails for all levels of fitness. Plenty of places to rest along the beginner trails as well. Pet friendly 🐶 Be sure to start early and bring water. These trails have great views of Riverside and beyond, but the shade is in short supply. So, be sure to wear sun protection as well 👍🌞☀
