Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“It's an easy hike with beautiful views of the city.”

A very popular hiking trail in Riverside. You pretty much get a 360 view as you snake around the mountain. The monuments and structures at the top are a nice touch.

I love this place. It's an easy hike with beautiful views of the city. If you stay on the trail it is paved but if you go off the trail, it's dirt and rocks. Your mostly in the sun on this trail depending on what side of the mountain your on.

Awesome little hike with friends and family. About a 5 mile hike combined. I recommend parking at the park across the street. I stretched for about 10 minutes, then went straight to the fruit vendor and hydrated with fruit and vegetables. Happy Trails, guys.

We took our whole family (and puppy) on a hike. It was about 3.5 miles for the round trip. Everyone had fun. There are plenty of places to sit, stop and rest along the way for the little ones. The scenes are breathtaking. Everyone jogging, running, walking and biking are respectful of each other.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
