Confirmed from Moutoux Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 7 mentions

“Nice quiet place to fish without any boats around.”

Motoux Park turned out to be a rather enjoyable place to be. I haven't been there in years and wow was I in for a surprise. Last time there it wasn't developed. Imagine the shock I received upon discovering that Mater Dei high-school has their soccer fields there. Beautiful, well maintained and lit soccer field.

Nice quiet place to fish early in the morning. Have caught channel cats and large mouth bass. Lots of panfish, bluegills, readers and sunfish. Has been stocked by DNR in the past which helps keep the fishing good. We use the parking lot for bike riding. Have soccer games in the park.

Nice park within Evansville, IN or Vanderburgh County in Southern Indiana. Entrance located on North st. Joseph avenue and Mill Road. DIRECTIONS Heading north on st Joseph ave, turn approximately 1 intersection before the light at ST Joseph ave and Mill Road.

★★★★☆ — Rodney , Nov 2017

Moutoux park is a park that a lot of people don't know about. It is at the far north west end of town. There is not many houses or business around. The park is way off the road. It has a nice playground with a shelter nearby that has picnic tables and shade. It has a very large gorgeous lake.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
