Confirmed from Mowbray Pike Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

Breathtaking views! Great little hike, but a little slippery. Massive rocks that people were climbing and walking though!

Small parking lot that fills up fast. Trails are good for hiking and trail running. Lots of people come here to boulder.

★★★★★ — Scott , Mar 2024

Easy to get to, pretty fun hike, lots of really cool rocks to explore. Good for a family day. The parking is not very easy. It's a small lot so you can get blocked in if you have a bigger vehicle like a van. The trail starts out as just woods, but it opens up to some beautiful views and wide open places to hike around.

★★★★★ — Chad , Nov 2017

Really awesome spot. About a 10 minute walk down a gently sloping hill to the boulders. Parking area was recently redone so it’s nice. The walk out is heinous if you have too much gear (ask how I found that one out). Haven’t been during peak hours, so not sure how crowded it can get.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
