Confirmed from Murphy Ranch Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Peaceful, family-friendly hiking park featuring wide trails and mountain views, plus picnic areas.
What runners say about Murphy Ranch Park
“Beautiful views of the city, easy to navegante and not so difficult for any tipe of hiker( beginners or pros) the only thing I didn't like is that parking is really limited .”
“Great little hike plenty space to run around and with the rain lately it’s been a beautiful trail to walk through.”
“Morning time is the best it’s quiet and refreshing, get there early if you want parking though they open at 6am.”
Great place to hike. The trails are different, ranging from straight and easy to full on hike up hill. The trails are easy to follow, there's no having to guess. Great exercise for everyone into hiking. Also great to just be out in the open air, little bit of wilderness.
Nice small hike about 1.5miles completes the circle. Morning time is the best it’s quiet and refreshing, get there early if you want parking though they open at 6am.
Peaceful park/hiking area. Depending on the path you take there is a nice incline. I took the short one but it was still a food work out. When i went there was a bunch of goats. They are around once and a while from what i hear. Can't wait to go back!
I love walking on the trail where I used to run cross country during the La Serna High School days. Of course, Murphy Ranch Park is definitely above La Serna where I went walking and did an exercise just to get some fresh air, so I would feel good right after.
