Easy biking, hiking, or dog walking trail that has two entrance/exits that extends just over one mile. One entrance is just left of Butler Park. The other entrance is just off of the intersection of Appomattox Dr. & North Port Blvd.
This is my first time to the Myakkahatchee Creek Greenway. Parking was limited at the side of the road where the trail begins. The path itself is paved very nice. They have a sign to mark every 10th of a mile. You eventually come to a boardwalk, which is very long and windy.
Beautiful boardwalk where you can observe nature. If you walk the length of the boardwalk there is even more to the trail. We had a great time.
The Myakkahatchee Creek Greenway Trail is a very scenic nature trail. They call it a 1.1 mile trail, but it's actually a 2.2 mile round trip nature walk. .5 miles of the one way is a sturdy well built boardwalk overlooking the creek. The other .6 miles of the trail is well paved black top. Both very scenic.
