Confirmed from NA Greeneway at Bergen Rd's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Quiet, shady path winding through pine trees for walking, biking and dog walking.
What runners say about NA Greeneway at Bergen Rd
“Just a beautiful view as far as the eyes can see.”
“Peaceful trail through the woods, all through populated areas but far enough to be it's own experience.”
Beautiful place. It is a wonderful path to walk with your dogs or ride a bike.
I loved the walkway/bikeway at this location. It was very picturesque. The aroma of the pines and the sounds of nature calmed my soul. My beagle dog, however, was frightened to walk from the parking lot to the walkway because of the vehicles traveling overhead on the highway.
Fantastic local trail. The nice part about starting on this end as opposed to the river end is that it is far less congested. You’ll generally see a handful of other walkers and folks on bikes doing the entire greeneway route.
Nice section of the trail leading to the very expensive tunnel. A long coeredor halfway up towering pine trees. Surprised at how high the old railway was built up. Don't want to wander off the side of that trail.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
