Confirmed from Palmetto Parkway Bike Path's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Palmetto Parkway Bike Path
I pretty much only inline skate so this trail is awesome! The pavement is great and it kept pretty clean as well. Only one of the road crossing is in a bad place. Wish there was some parking but as long as you park at the hotel off exit 5 your all good.
Overall great path for bike riding, very little traffic and very well maintained... probably because of how low the traffic is. The big disadvantages is that it doesn't have any real shade to speak of, so if you are riding during the day be ready for sun exposure.
Really nice path, goes a super long distance. I have never gone end to end.
This path is really close to my house but I haven't take advantage of it until just recently. I just started running and recently completed my first 5K distance run at the Palmetto Parkway Bike Path! The condition of the pavement is excellent.
Trail conditions & character
“There are a good bit of hills so if you aren't mentally prepared for that it will definitely be a little challenging.”
“This is a wide open paved bike path, so the sun is a shining.”
