We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Napa River Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Napa River Trail
This place was a hidden gem! We decided to take a drive down Silverado Trail. As we made our way down the road I saw a scenic overlook sign. We decided to take the turn and check it out. We were so happy we found this place! There was a small parking lot off the road. When you walk down the trail a bit there is a fork.
Oh my goodness I drove by to go visit my long time years of friendship with my bestie. I just had the pull over and take a walk through and don't tell me you all don't remember how much higher the river used to be and that gut wrenching feeling gaining that confident nerve to take that leap. About like faith🕊️
Lovely trail between vineyards and the Napa River. More an auditory delight than a visual one. The songs of happy birds and rushing water. Lots of poison oak intruding on the path.
Sweet River walk along the mostly dry bed of Napa River. Convenient parking, rich plant life, lots of access to the river.
