Confirmed from Natural Bridge State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

An abandoned marble quarry with a naturally formed arch & a man-made dam, both of white marble.

What runners say about Natural Bridge State Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (733 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 14 mentions

“Wonderful short walk with a beautiful & unique marble crevasse, marble rocks, abandoned quarry with dramatic clifflike face, white marble dam, and historical information.”

Very short walk through. Many stairs and ramps. Further down you can walk through ruins but don't plan on spending more than an hour there because you will run out of things to do. They do have a small sculpture park too. $20 per car for out of state visitors.

Family, kid friendly but too many fences are blocking the view. I would like to see that place in a more natural untouched way. Good for a 30 minutes hike but nothing longer.

We stopped at this nice little, historic, state park yesterday. It had some beautiful autumn scenery, while offering historical knowledge of the areas past. They have picnic tables on site. There are bathrooms inside the information building. There is also hiking here available too. We had no problem finding parking.

Beautiful park with lovely waterfalls and well marked walking paths to the top of the cliffs and marble natural bridge. Pay to park if you drive up to the lot, but we parked down near the entrance for no charge. If you go in the evening, you can experience the audio presentation that was installed by Mass MOCA.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
