Confirmed from Nature Center at Greenburgh's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Gardens, trails & a pond over a 33-ac. nature preserve plus exhibits in a former manor house.
What runners say about Nature Center at Greenburgh
“I got to enjoy ‘interacting with’ this beautiful raven, and then we hung out in the visitor center for a while until we could run back to our car when the rain slowed.”
“The peaceful setting, clean restrooms, and helpful staff make it an easy and memorable outing for both kids and adults.”
“They are very beginner friendly and peaceful for nature lovers of all ages to enjoy.”
My wife and I went here to walk the trails. We took a lot of photos of the various animals and Native American-style replica homes. It was very nice. I returned with my father because I knew he'd like it, too.
We got to spend about one hour here before it started pouring for the rest of the day but we had a really nice time! We checked out the native plants, got chased by some chipmunks for about 5 minutes (honestly we had a blast with this), saw some birds, and the butterfly garden.
Awesome place, even on a particularly cloudy day. So much to see. Nature centred Playground, extensive easy hiking trails, and did I mention geocaching. Plenty of parking, picnic areas, butterfly garden, so many sights and things to see I can’t list them all. Great for adults and kids a like.
We are happy to find this park , it is very cute place, not crowded, there are several wooden playgrounds a small barnyard, a place to have picnic ( with permit I suppose), nice walking trails and good parking spots, thanks a lot to Greenburg Nature center workers and staff!
