Confirmed from Navy Point Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with scenic bayou views, a paved walking trail, a boat ramp, and a public restroom.
What runners say about Navy Point Park
“The walking trail was gorgeous, our large, energetic puppy had plenty of space to walk on leash, we saw several dolphins from the shore.”
“Beautiful & peaceful 5 miles of sidewalk that winds around the water.”
“Excellent place to walk the dog along the water.”
Navy Point Park has a paved pathway, beautiful trees, and a nice view of the water. If you want to go for a longer walk, you can cross the road and follow the shoreline for about 4 miles(out and back). Benches and a few portable bathrooms are available along the path.
Just love walking this place at sundown. So serene and peaceful. The water view is just perfect. Never too busy & Great area.
Wonderful trail around the Bayou. Lots of shade and scenery to take your mind off the tedium of walking! The ends don't meet up, but there's plenty of sidewalks to get back to the start. 1 full lap was 5km.
I really like this park. Easy walking path. Beautiful views of the bay. Swimming if you choose. Dog friendly.

“I thought the park trails were limited to the trailhead but I crossed the street and found another 2 miles of paved trails hugging the intercoastal water.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
