Confirmed from Southwest Escambia Greenway - Fairfield Entrance's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Southwest Escambia Greenway - Fairfield Entrance
The bike ride was amazing, I was able to start at Fairfield and take trails and sidewalks all the way to Navy Point, crossing only one busy intersection at Navy Blvd and Barrancas. I will be riding this trail more throughout the year, can’t believe it has been there and this was my first time riding it
Great Boardwalk to walk on, ride your bike on, take your dog on, and just generally see a pretty cool part of nature that you wouldn't expect to be right there close to so many big roads.
Hopefully boardwalk will be fixed soon. Last visit we saw a tree take down the path soon after entrance. Be ready to see many turtles

Plan your run at Southwest Escambia Greenway - Fairfield Entrance
The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
