What runners say about Nelson Park
It is a very nice public neighborhood park. It has a running, walking, or strolling path and beautiful trees and lots more... It is two diagonally contiguous block lots sharing one street. One lot has the kiddies playground facing the Park School on the north side.
This park has a little league field, basketball court, tennis courts, an open field that's also used for soccer games, and a playground on the southern part of the park. The playground is nice, but there is one slide that is boarded up and has some graffiti on it.
I always enjoy going to Nelson, people are always playing soccer, basket ball, or tennis and can also go for a run or ride their bikes. There's a playground crossing the street next to park school for the kids and another park going down the hill, next to KFC
Terrific park with a good number of benches, restrooms, tennis courts, basketball courts, a baseball field, and a large open area. I love the 1/2 km (?) path that goes around it. It is a wonderful place to spend a lazy weekend afternoon with family.
