Confirmed from Newburyport Harborwalk Rail Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with walking and biking paths, plus a commuter train parking lot, and access to downtown.

An awesome trail, we parked at Cashman park and enjoyed a great walk along the Trail. plenty of places to relax and look at the River as well as other paths off the trail convenient to move around the town.
Great walk, parked up at the Commuter Train parking lot at walked to downtown Newburyport along the water. Backtracked a little and walk through the Cashman Park area.
I love taking my dogs here! They have some cool art on the walk along the river, and there are lots of cool birds too. The wind is nice, but sometimes the area floods over- a grim reminder of what global warming does I guess… there are nice areas to sit down and admire the view, bags to pick up after your pups, and…
What a beautiful place to take a walk, especially around sunset! Great place to relax, watch the wildlife and the boats, and walk. There are lots of seating options spread throughout the walk: benches, Adirondack chairs, swings, and walls by the water to sit at and gaze out on, and it leads right to downtown!
