Confirmed from Newman Poses Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Newman Poses Preserve
Small preserve with some nice sights like a clearing, river with small waterfalls, and evergreen lined pathways. The lowlands are great, the highlands aren't really that nice overall.
Easy, pleasant loop(s) whole family can negotiate. A pleasant ramble through old farmland reverting to forest. Meadow paths are mowed 6’ wide, woods trails well tramped and delineated.
A nice easy walking trail with river views. Watch the markers carefully to stay on the trails. Can be wet in spots.
Very enjoyable area to walk. Low difficulty. Trees, stream, berries. About 25 minute loop.
Trail conditions & character
“Dogs are allowed, but there are only three cars allowed in the parking lot at a time, so you might have to wait for people to leave in order to park.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
