Confirmed from Niemietz Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Niemietz Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (189 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“Nice clean park, great spot to watch the fireworks and not fight the crowds”

Handicapable. Accessible park and swing set. Football field perfect for running around with little kids. Has a bathroom. Men's room was not dirty surprisingly. Lots of trees for shade. Good size parking lot.

Brought my 2 year old and she had an amazing time. Excellent park for little and all kinds of abilities. They have a large football field next to the playground where big kids can run and play to their hearts content. LOVE this park.

★★★★★ — Ellena , Nov 2024

Omg.. My kids love this park💕 My son loves the fact the A train goes by every so often. Cops drive by every so often to make sure everything is running smoothly... Friendly as well👮✋

★★★★★ — Jennie , Jul 2020

Nice park with a lot of activities. The only drawback is that I sometimes have to park in the dirt area on the far side for my granddaughter's games, and it's a long walk to the opening in the fence, especially carrying a chair and using a cane. They could definitely use a lot more handicapped parking.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🅿️ Trailhead parking 8 mentions

“Only thing I would like is more parking BUT for weekends they have an extra lot for overflow parking so its overall a really nice park/ sport complex”

  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
