Confirmed from Schlather Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Schlather Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (589 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 9 mentions

“Well kept park with restrooms available, we'll maintained walking path and playground for kids.”

🌳 shaded & cool 4 mentions

“It was hot when we went since there isn’t that much shade but it’s perfect when the weather is cool!”

I love this park!! I teach yoga here a few times a week and the park is always clean, fairly quiet, and peaceful. There’s a beautiful farm in front of the park and often their are cows that will move close enough to the fence to say hello. The bathrooms are flush-style and always clean.

Large Park with walking paths, playgrounds, tables, parking and restrooms. Went for a morning walk, I like that it is long so a few laps cover a good distance. Connected to a neighborhood and a community garden. Pet friendly.

★★★★★ — Mirka , Apr 2023

Nice little park with good walking trails, and as an added bonus, you can get lucky and see cows grazing at the edge of it!

★★★★★ — Alexander , Jul 2020

We love this small well maintained community park. The history of it can be found on plaques scattered around the lengthy paved walkways. The grandkids enjoy the playground equipment and I have played the disc golf course several times which has a slightly confusing layout.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 7 mentions

“Well kept park with restrooms available, we'll maintained walking path and playground for kids.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
