Confirmed from Nojoshing Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Nojoshing Trail
We walked for 3 miles on the Nojoshing Trail for the first time today. Some of the trail is paved, other parts are covered by wood chips, the rest of the paths are unimproved. There were few people we met. Some were walking dogs. Two were riding mountain bikes. The trail meanders over large fields and wooded areas.
It was fun and great for kids. It had maps very frequently. It also had a book on the trail split up into different signs and questions to go along with each page. In all it was a fun experience, would go back again.
One of my favorite places to take a walk, feels like you're stepping into another world in the summer when the wildflowers are growing past your shoulders. So beautiful.
This trail is immediately adjacent to Saint Francis City Hall. Parking is available.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
