Confirmed from South Shore Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park on Lake Michigan with a beach, a beer garden, a playground & views of downtown.
What runners say about South Shore Park
“Parking is sometimes hard and you may have to walk far but the area is beautiful and features rolling hills and lakefront views.”
Nice park. Walking/bike trail is decent, but several of the people riding bikes were not mindful of the children at all. Steep paved path down to the waterfront. Gorgeous views of the lake. Pool, playground, and plenty of parking. Went for the fourth and it was nice. I was there another day and it was still quite busy.
My husband and I went exploring this area one day I was amazed to this area.Houses are so beautiful and beautifully decorated.South shore park is a public park. It’s a good place for picnic. There is a little beach area as well. You can walk to many restaurants and bars from This park.
Fun little park where we had a picnic after getting off the Lake Express Ferry. It was nice to walk around. It was quite lively - a good place to bring your kids. It looked like it had an interesting event hall for weddings and such.
Great park south of Milwaukee on the shore. Got up early while visiting the city and ran a nice 5K route from the yacht club right nearby down to the Bay View Park. Not as expansive as Veterans Park up in the main part of city, but still a good and more quaint option.
