Confirmed from Norlo Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 8 mentions

🐕 dog-walking favorite 3 mentions

“Dog parks are wonderful! Walking paths are long and scenic, and the playground offers plenty of action for younger kids.”

Norlo Park is right next to my childhood home. I only wish they would have converted the cornfields to a park while I was growing up. Now I love taking my kids their and taking walks around the park and watching them play at the playground.

Had a good time at the dog park. It was just freshly cut, grass was everywhere. But lovely day, lot of space for the dog to run, and a handful of benches and water for dogs. Hoping water stays running for summer!

This is actually a really nice area with paved trails going every which way. There are a lot of trees out here but not enough along the trail where you can get shade on a hot day. I'm definitely coming back though.

Love this park! Before we ever moved here, this was the first place we experienced and fell in love with it and the community thereafter. It’s a beautiful park, perfect for a stroll or exercise walk. Its expansive grounds range from very flat to slightly hilly.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 14 mentions

“Even on a 92° Sunday with the sun beating down, many people were enjoying the tennis courts, and the dog park is well equipped with working water fountains for the dogs.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
