Beautiful and easy natural hike in Merrick area. Different lengths of hikes available and people can switch the trail at certain points of their hikes. Each section of the trail is clearly marked, so never need to worry about getting lost on the trail. No entrance / parking fee at all.
Very beautiful nature trail, free parking and lots of space available. Non entry fee, which is a plus. There's no bikes, roller skates, skate boards or pets (thank god) allowed. Its a trail so they have tick warnings (if you go off trail).
My Environmental Science professor required us to visit Norman J. Levy Park & Preserve, and although I went reluctantly, I found it to be a truly beautiful park. The park is home to some charming farm animals that add to its unique atmosphere.
This is conveniently located and a wonderful use of space. It has something for everyone. Most trails are fairly easy to navigate with some change in slope and the addition of stairs. The scenic views at the top are a nice way to appreciate our region. At the end of the trail are goats and sheep.
