Confirmed from North Bay Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
139-acre lakefront park offering fishing, wildlife & boardwalk/dirt trails through woods & wetlands.
What runners say about North Bay Park
“The park is very clean and the trails/docks provide a great waterfront view of Ford Lake!”
“walked the dogs around the loop- was a beautiful spring day and we enjoyed a breezy walk among other walkers and a few bikers.”
“Very relaxing and serene environment plus it’s an inner city island that alone was amazing.”
A wonderful place with the longest nice boardwalk I've ever walked! And you can find some species there like turtle, fish, swan, Canadian goose, Blue heron, etc. Toilet only available at the parking lot. Be prepared with mosquito repellant. This park also has some exercise tools with the instructions attached.
I took my parents visited at a foggy morning, not much people around. Trees surrounding the parking lot are colorful. The boardwalk is long and dry, not slippery. The lake looks quiet and calm. We saw Asian carps, swan, gooses, and other birds.
This is a beautiful place! We are new Ypsilanti and just opened our cafe & gallery near by. We love taking walks along the trail. There is so much wildlife to see, my kids love it as u can tell by the video lol It is not too long of a way around the water.
UPDATE 9-18-25 Beautiful path over the water on a bridge. Swans, birds, turtles, ducks and fishing is allowed with a license. The greatest park for beautiful sunsets and clean surroundings. If you like swans, there are hundreds. One of the best in Ypsilanti and perhaps, Michigan for scenic views and running !
