Confirmed from North Brigantine Natural Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Tranquil beach area with a vast wildlife refuge, plenty of bird life & serene tidal pools.
What runners say about North Brigantine Natural Area
“A beautiful stretch of shoreline, with a busy beach entrance, but a nearly-empty beach after about a half mile.”
“The birds were plentiful and the waves were peaceful.”
Drive on beach is nice. You need a permit. Went on labor day cops were pretty strict on that day. Permit is free for military members. Dogs are allowed on a leash. Wish we could let our dog run free. She loves the beach.
Pristine, beautiful, peaceful... Great place to walk and unwind from the daily hamster wheel. A balm for the world weary soul.
This is one of the most beautiful places you can ever visit in South Jersey. The natural area in the North Brigantine Beach is breathtaking. The views of the Ocean and the Bay are Beautiful. Looking at the wildlife and all the little baby pipers running on the beach is so surreal.
A nice walk, next to the ocean, in undisturbed nature. A person can walk to the end of the island and see the next community/land mass in Ocean County, NJ.

- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
