Confirmed from North Hogbacks' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about North Hogbacks
“Trail is well marked with several signs and cairns along the way.”
Turn off Hasler Valley Road onto the dirt road, go through the ATV park, and park by the loop, then you'll see the trail sign with the map. Trail is well marked with several signs and cairns along the way. Nice dirt path. Some switchbacks to start off, then it gets a little easier.
Great trail, well marked, nice 2 mile loop. Takes about 40 minutes if you are fast and 1.5 hours if you are slower. I usually average about 50 minutes. Steep switchbacks in a few places with some loose rocks. Great overlook, very scenic.
Awesome trail. Gives you a work out. Bring water, bug spray, and some sunscreen. This one is medium hike overall its 2.5 miles or so.
Great hike with amazing views at the top. The first section is probably the hardest due to the elevation gain. Some parts of the trail may not be as obvious and not well maintained but the city does a good job of trying to keep it up
